About Waabigwan Mashkiki
Waabigwan Mashkiki (pronounced waa-BIG-wan mash-KI-ki) is the cannabis brand of the White Earth Nation, one of the largest Anishinaabe tribal nations in Minnesota. In Ojibwe, "Waabigwan Mashkiki" means "Flower Medicine" - reflecting the dispensary's dual commitment to the cannabis plant and Indigenous cultural heritage.
What sets Waabigwan Mashkiki apart is its vertically integrated model: cannabis is grown and processed at White Earth Nation's own facility adjacent to the Mahnomen flagship store, then sold directly in-store. No middlemen, no third-party growers - just Native-grown cannabis from seed to sale.
Operating under tribal sovereignty, all Waabigwan Mashkiki locations are exempt from Minnesota's 10% state cannabis tax, making them consistently more affordable than state-licensed dispensaries. With three locations - Mahnomen, Moorhead, and St. Cloud - Waabigwan is the most geographically expansive tribal cannabis operation in the state.
