Hi Cloud Dispensary opened in summer 2026 as North Mankato's first licensed combination medical and recreational cannabis store, operating out of the former Game On Nutrition building at 300 Belgrade Avenue. The shop is a sister business to Hi Cloud Tobacco and 507 Tobacco, both established Mankato-area retailers, giving the dispensary an experienced local operator behind it. North Mankato and Mankato together form the largest metropolitan area in southern Minnesota, home to roughly 70,000 residents, Minnesota State University Mankato, and a regional medical and commercial hub serving communities across Blue Earth, Nicollet, and surrounding counties. Hi Cloud sits just across the Minnesota River from downtown Mankato, making it accessible from both sides of the river. The dispensary is licensed by the Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management to serve both adult-use and registered medical cannabis patients, making it one of the relatively few southern Minnesota retailers offering combined service to both populations under one roof. A shared rewards program connects Hi Cloud Dispensary to the existing Hi Cloud and 507 Tobacco customer base. Under the 2026 dual-licensing framework, medical patients in southern Minnesota who previously had to travel significant distances to a former cannabis patient center now have a closer local option.
