We are posting this response to correct several major inaccuracies in the review and to provide the full context for anyone reading it. This individual entered through our clearly marked EXIT‑ONLY door, which is a required security checkpoint. When someone enters through the wrong door, staff must immediately intervene, ask why the exit was used, and verify identification. No profanity was used at any point. The employee asked why the exit was used and then requested ID, which the customer did not have. Without valid identification, we cannot legally allow anyone to remain in the sales area or complete a transaction. The customer later returned with ID and was assisted by another employee. At that time, he purchased a vape product. Vape products (pens and cartridges) are extremely scarce anywhere in Minnesota right now, and manufacturers cannot currently supply any more. We have not raised the price on these items; our pricing reflects the high cost to obtain them, along with required sales and excise taxes. In fact, rather than increasing prices due to scarcity, we have chosen to limit these products to one per customer per day to ensure fair access for all customers. We also need to address the personal insults directed at our staff. Referring to a senior staff member as “looking homeless” is not feedback — it is harassment. It is a discriminatory, demeaning remark about someone’s appearance and crosses well beyond acceptable customer conduct. Comments like this fall into the realm of hateful or abusive language, and we will always defend our employees when they are targeted in this way. Our security procedures exist to protect customers, employees, and inventory, and our staff followed those procedures appropriately.
