The new site will sit directly behind the Fond-du-Luth Casino, near 2nd Avenue between Superior Street and 1st Street, the Band says, per WDIO. The location is expected to be complete early next year, and the Band plans to offer delivery from it, per WDIO.
The Band says the expansion is part of a long-term commitment to economic growth, tribal sovereignty, and revitalizing downtown Duluth, per WDIO. The Band says the new location will create jobs, support local businesses, and bring more visitors to the downtown area, per WDIO.
WDIO also noted the Band's $25 million Center for American Indian Resources Clinic expansion and the Fond-du-Luth Casino's 40th anniversary.
