4 of 235 active directory records meet the 30-day operating-status evidence criteria. This measures evidence coverage, not the count of all open stores. Missing or old evidence does not mean a store is closed. Qualified records require a positive cannabis retail license label, explicit operating status and a dated public source; medical storefronts are included and hemp-only records are excluded.

Historical audit snapshots
OCM license figures are attributed to Minnesota Office of Cannabis Management extracts. Hub open counts are MN Cannabis Hub primary observations (directory verification). These snapshots retain the original audit definitions. They are not a comparable time series with the stricter current evidence criteria.

Methodology
The current cohort requires an active directory record, a positive cannabis retail license label, explicit operating status, and a public source with an evidence date within 30 days. Medical storefronts are included; hemp-only records are excluded. Active directory records also include unverified and coming-soon rows. A missing or stale evidence record is not proof of closure. Historical confirmed-open audit totals use the original audit definitions.
Maps: open-storefront points use Hub location data only. County maps match on each county's official boundary for DOR aid. City zoning embeds attribute their public map source directly.
Initial snapshots come from the Hub's published investigation The Receipts. Pipeline attrition from preliminary approval to open storefront needs a public data request; it is marked pending, not guessed.
