How to cite Hub research data

• Prefer primary government (OCM, DOR, MDH, Revisor) and Hub-owned observations. Never mix unverified press into metrics.
• Page stamps: every page shows a Last verified date and a published date automatically.

• OCM license issued: a state cannabis business license on an official roster. Not proof a shopper can walk in.
• Hub confirmed-open: a directory row we have verified is open for business.
• Hub active listing: a directory row marked active; may be coming soon or unverified.
• Market Monitor month: an OCM monthly sales and price extract; Hub archives and logs revisions.
• Excise tax: Minnesota cannabis excise is 15% on Research Desk pages. Stale 10% examples are not republished.

Prefer /market-data/sales + Monitor archive and the openings tracker when Hub surfaces disagree (e.g. homepage YTD teasers vs archived ~$163.6M Jan–Jul; “96 licensed” blog copy vs ~234 directory listings). Stamp last-verified; never invent missing months or menu prices.

Free public charts stay free for SEO and journalist citation. Premium archive downloads (full history CSV, revision-complete dumps, price panels) may later require a small payment.

Selling research data about cannabis is different from selling cannabis. Payment processors may still scrutinize cannabis-adjacent merchants, so we plan to keep a traditional payment option (Stripe / Research Pro) as a parallel path and confirm any new payment method with counsel first. Do not request or publish patient-level medical registry data (Minn. Stat. ch. 13 and § 342.20 classifications).
