Paw CBD for Dogs: cbdMD Oils and Chews

Paw CBD is cbdMD's pet line. Dog oil, calming oil, chews and cat oil checked October 20, 2026, plus melatonin vs CBD for dogs. Not a veterinary dose.
Quick answer
The FDA says it cannot ensure the safety or effectiveness of cannabis-derived products marketed for pets, and it points people to a veterinarian. That is the standard here. Source: FDA regulation of cannabis and cannabis-derived products, including CBD, question 24, the same page the CBD oil for dogs checklist cites, read again for this article on October 20, 2026.
Shoppers searching for CBD for dogs, or for the older Paw CBD brand, usually want a bottle size, a flavor, and a straight answer on THC. This page checks five cbdMD pet URLs for adults 21 and older who are buying for an animal. It is not a dose, a treatment, or a promise about behavior. It does not link full spectrum, Delta-9, THCV, or Inferno products, and it does not link human gummies as pet treats.

| Product | Type on its page | Label facts we checked |
|---|---|---|
| 600 mg CBD pet oil for large dogs (MediPets, Diamond CBD) | Dog oil, described as premium CBD isolate | 600 mg per bottle, for large dogs |
| 90 mg CBD pet oil for small dogs (MediPets, Diamond CBD) | Dog oil | 90 mg per bottle, for small dogs |
| cbdMD dog oil | Broad spectrum tincture, peanut butter | 300, 750, or 1,500 mg bottles, no melatonin listed |
| cbdMD dog calming oil | Broad spectrum tincture with melatonin | 250 mg blueberry bottle, melatonin listed, no milligram amount |
Row order follows what each partner pays the Hub, highest first. It is a commercial order, not a quality ranking. Nothing But Canna is not listed because the pet tincture in its catalog is full spectrum, which this page does not link. Prices move, so each row leaves the price to the product page. For cats, use the CBD oil for cats checklist, and for the vet-first buying checklist for dogs, use the CBD oil for dogs guide.
What do the five Paw CBD labels list?
| Product | Paw CBD in the copy | Melatonin | Variants and prices, October 20, 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cat oil | Yes | Not listed | Catnip, 300 mg, $29.99, marked available |
| Dog oil | Yes | Not listed | Peanut butter, 300 mg $24.99, 750 mg $39.99, 1,500 mg $59.99, all marked available |
| Dog calming oil | Yes | Listed, no milligram amount | Blueberry, 250 mg, $24.99, marked available |
| Calming chews | Not in the copy checked | Not listed | 600 mg, $45.99, marked available |
| Hip and joint chews | Not in the copy checked | Not listed | 600 mg, $45.99, marked unavailable |
The marketing lines still say things like "two CBD concentrations" or "five CBD concentrations" and extra flavors. The variant picker is the shorter list above. When the paragraph and the picker disagree, this page reports both and does not invent the missing flavors.
Source: cbdMD product feeds for the five pet URLs, October 20, 2026. Paw CBD means the product description used that name. Melatonin means the word appeared in that description. Prices are US dollars for the variants that were listed. These rows are not doses.
Does Paw CBD make gummies?
We found no Paw CBD gummy among the five pet URLs checked. The pet products on cbdMD's site are tinctures and soft chews: the calming chews (600 mg, $45.99) and the hip and joint chews (600 mg, marked unavailable). The human gummies on the cbdMD review are labeled for people. Do not give a person gummy to a dog or a cat.
What is in the Paw CBD dog oil?
The dog oil is a peanut butter tincture. The description says it is veterinarian formulated, uses the seller's Superior Broad Spectrum CBD, and is made from USA-grown hemp. Ingredients are hemp extract (cannabidiol, cannabigerol, cannabinol), MCT oil, and natural flavor. The seller says a suggested serving is 1 mL, one full dropper, squeezed into the mouth, and suggests using it daily for 30 days before changing the amount. That is retailer text. It is not a dose from this guide, and it is not matched to a weight chart. The page did not print a milligram-per-pound table, so this guide will not draw one.
The page says the oil may support calmness, relaxation, and mobility. "May support" is as far as that sentence goes, and it is the seller's sentence. It is not a finding that the oil treats anxiety, arthritis, or noise fear. Ask your veterinarian before you add it, especially if the dog already takes medication.
The same page says the product is THC-free with an asterisk, gluten-free, vegan, and GMP. The site footnote defines that asterisk as below the level of detection using validated scientific methods. The page also warns that the product can expose you to THC and that total delta-9 does not exceed 0.3% on a dry weight basis. No detectable THC is the phrase this guide will use for the lab idea. It is not a claim that the number is none, and it is not a promise about the next batch.
Which is better for calming a dog, melatonin or CBD?
That is a question for a veterinarian, not for this page, because the FDA has not approved cannabis for animals and melatonin and CBD are different ingredients. What the labels show: the cbdMD calming oil lists melatonin, and the calming chews list passion flower, chamomile, and L-tryptophan instead. The calming oil is blueberry, 250 mg, $24.99. The description says it contains melatonin and "other calming ingredients," and it tells you to use 1 mL as the seller's suggested serving. It does not say how many milligrams of melatonin are in that milliliter. This page will not guess. The copy says the oil may help soothe and relax. That is marketing. Thunderstorms, noise, and "overexcitement" are the situations the seller names. They are not diagnoses this page will take on.
The calming chews are a 600 mg soft chew at $45.99, turkey flavor in the ingredient list. The description mentions passion flower and chamomile, and the ingredient list also includes L-tryptophan, ginger, flaxseed, oat flour, and hemp extract. It does not list melatonin. It does not use the Paw CBD name in the copy that was checked, even though it is a cbdMD dog chew. The page says "three CBD concentrations" and only one strength was in the feed. Report the feed.
Chews are not the oil. A chew is a piece. The oil is a milliliter. The page says to start with the suggested daily serving on the packaging. The packaging was not in the product feed, so this guide does not reprint a serving count it could not see.
Hip and joint chews
The hip and joint chew is bacon flavor, 600 mg, listed at $45.99, and marked unavailable on October 20, 2026. The ingredient list includes glucosamine HCL from shellfish, MSM, chondroitin sulfate (porcine), omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil, and hemp extract. Shellfish and fish matter if the dog has a known reaction or if the household avoids those ingredients. The seller describes the chew as support for stiff joints and hips of aging dogs. This page does not turn that into a treatment for arthritis. Ask a veterinarian. The dog treats guide is a separate checklist for treat labels in general, built around a different retailer. Do not copy a treat count from that guide onto this chew.
Is there a Paw CBD cat oil?
The cat oil is catnip flavor, 300 mg, $29.99. The description places it in the Paw CBD line and says the formula includes CBG and CBN. Ingredients are hemp extract, MCT oil, and natural flavor. The seller's suggested amount is again 1 mL, in the mouth or with a meal. The copy still says natural or catnip and two concentrations. The feed showed catnip and 300 mg only.
A 300 mg cat bottle is not the 300 mg dog bottle. The dog bottle is peanut butter and is one of three strengths. The cat page does not list melatonin. Do not use the dog calming oil, which does list melatonin, on a cat because the milliliter number looks familiar.
The Hub's CBD oil for cats checklist is the separate cat page. It is a label checklist, not a dose. The dog checklist above tells you to start with a veterinarian for dogs. The same FDA answer covers cats. Human products on the cbdMD review, including gummies and softgels, are not cat products. Do not give a person gummy to a cat or a dog.
Does Paw CBD contain THC?
Pet pages use the asterisk and the 0.3% delta-9 dry-weight sentence. They do not all use the "batch-tested to ensure no detectable THC" sentence that some human topicals use. Read the certificate of analysis for the lot. Detection limits are the lab's. The next lot is a new test.
December 11, 2026 still matters if you are buying hemp products into a Minnesota household. The federal hemp changes guide explains the Office of Cannabis Management's account of a 0.4 mg total THC per container federal line, and it explains that Minnesota's lower-potency hemp edible rules for human products do not change that day. A pet oil is not a human edible, and this page will not pretend the 5 mg human serving path is a pet dose. The federal container line is still the reason this guide stays on broad spectrum products and refuses full spectrum links.
Human cannabis from a licensed shop is a different product. Minnesota dispensaries are for people. Minnesota Statutes section 342.09 is the adult possession and home-grow statute. It does not set a dog dose.
Is there a Paw CBD discount code?
Codes change, and this page does not invent one. The terms supplied to the Hub include a 15% off coupon, but the pet pages checked here did not print a code and the tracking link does not add one. Use the cbdMD tracked link and look in the cart. The terms also say cbdMD ships in the United States only. We did not place a test order to a Minnesota address, so we do not describe a carrier or a delivery day.
What should a Minnesota pet owner do before the first dropper?
The seller says to talk with a veterinarian. Do that before the first dropper. If a pet may have gotten into a THC edible meant for people, contact a veterinarian or an animal poison control line. This page is not that hotline. Lethargy, drooling, vomiting, agitation, tremors, and convulsions are reasons to call. The dog checklist cites the FDA on that point.
Prices above are product-feed prices on one date. The hip and joint chew can come back in stock, and a strength can disappear. Re-open the product page before you rely on a dollar figure.
FAQ
Is Paw CBD the same company as cbdMD?
The product copy for the cat oil, dog oil, and dog calming oil calls those tinctures part of cbdMD's Paw CBD line. The calming chews and hip and joint chews are cbdMD products too, but the copy checked on October 20, 2026 did not use the Paw CBD name. They are still separate URLs from the human gummies.
How much CBD oil should a dog get?
This page does not answer that with a number. The dog oil page says the seller's suggested serving is 1 mL and tells you to ask a veterinarian. It does not publish a weight chart. The FDA has not approved these products for animals. A 1,500 mg bottle is the bottle total, not a serving.
How is the dog calming oil different from the calming chews?
The calming oil's description names melatonin and gives no milligram amount. The calming chews list passion flower, chamomile, and L-tryptophan instead and do not list melatonin. Do not treat them as the same formula. For melatonin in human products, see the CBD melatonin gummies guide.
Can I use the cat oil for a dog, or a human gummy for either?
No. The cat oil is a 300 mg catnip tincture. The dog oil is a peanut butter tincture in three strengths. Human gummies and softgels on the cbdMD review are labeled for people. The CBD softgels guide is a human page. Keep both off the pet's food.
